What is Giving Tuesday?
If you haven’t heard of Giving Tuesday, you’re not alone. Giving Tuesday is a relatively new holiday — it was first launched in 2012 by a nonprofit in New York. Organizers intended to inspire people to take “radical generosity,” providing a set day to give back to impactful community organizations.
In the years since its establishment, the holiday has spread across six continents, with hundreds of thousands of people working together to transform their communities for the better. Each year, it occurs on the Tuesday immediately after Thanksgiving — Giving Tuesday 2023 falls on Tuesday, November 28.
What is Paraquad’s Mission?
Paraquad is one of few disability nonprofit organizations in Missouri — providing opportunities through employment, youth & family services, public policy & advocacy and more. Our team envisions a fully integrated society free of barriers and discrimination. We hope that through our services, we can create a world that views disability as a natural part of human diversity.
Though our services are primarily centered in the St. Louis area, we impact communities across Missouri. We strive to educate the large community about reducing barriers and continue to open opportunities for people with disabilities.

Whether they have recently acquired a disability or were born with one, our team members stick by their side throughout their journey to independence. Our focus is making a tangible impact, helping people discover their passions and reach their goals.
