Our Mission

We envision a world free of barriers — where disability is viewed as a natural part of human diversity. Part of this is using our energy collectively to address critical issues impacting our community. We share information, devise ideas for improvements and advocate disability awareness.

The Paraquad team is also committed to developing leadership in the disability community by providing customized training to individuals, groups and organizations on civic engagement, advocacy and community organizing. Read on to learn more about our outlets for public policy and advocacy.

Accessible STL

AccessibleSTL provides accessibility training and technical assistance for organizations across the St. Louis region. The goal of this program is to increase inclusion efforts through ADA compliance training and education, policy review and development assistance, website accessibility review and ongoing technical assistance.

As a disability advocacy center, Paraquad’s programming combines a business-to-business approach and knowledge from our accessibility consultants to support partners’ goals of an inclusive culture.

Public Policy Priorities

For public policy change to happen, dedicated people need to be leading the charge. Paraquad promotes disability awareness and advocacy in Missouri to ensure people with disabilities have access to the resources they need. From access to in-home health care to community-based services, we aim to secure independence for each person in our community.

Disability Voting Rights & Responsibilities

Voting is a critical part of our democracy — each vote counts toward enacting change in our communities and uplifting key demographics. To make informed decisions, we must understand our rights before we head to the polls. Paraquad acts as a disability advocacy center, supporting people with disabilities through valuable resources about disability awareness, voting rights and civic responsibilities.
