Paraquad Submits Public Comment on Proposed Federal Grantmaking Rule

Paraquad has submitted public comments to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) regarding proposed revisions to the Uniform Guidance governing federal financial assistance. In our comments, we emphasize the importance of maintaining a transparent, predictable, and merit-based federal grantmaking system that enables nonprofit organizations to responsibly steward taxpayer dollars while delivering essential services.

As one of the nation's first federally funded Centers for Independent Living, Paraquad also highlighted the critical role of disability rights advocacy within the Independent Living model and the need for clear federal guidance that supports lawful accessibility, inclusion, and equal opportunity efforts. We urged OMB to preserve the principles of transparency, consistency, due process, and accountability that allow organizations like ours to effectively serve people with disabilities and strengthen our communities
