Jawana Hammonds, MSW

Jawana Hammonds, MSW joins Paraquad with more than 20 years of experience in the social work and human services field. She is passionate about being involved in opportunities that are geared towards enhancing the life experiences of individuals who struggle with trauma related to family issues, mental and/or physical disabilities, and various life struggles daily. Her work is grounded in a commitment to equity, empowerment, and ensuring individuals have access to compassionate, culturally responsive support systems that uplift their voices and experiences.

Jawana earned a Master of Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis’ Brown School of Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Studies from Fontbonne University. Throughout their career, she has focused on programs and services that support children, youth, and families through mental health, behavioral health, and disability-related services.

Jawana believes that when individuals are provided with meaningful support, advocacy, and opportunities to be heard, barriers can be overcome and lives can be transformed.
