Since the effective date of the ADA Amendments Act (ADAAA) on January 1, 2009, we have been waiting to see how the courts will interpret this new law. Over the last two years it appears that the courts are listening to Congress and interpreting the definition of disability broadly just as Congress originally intended.

Beginning on March 26, 2012, the Supreme Court will spend five and a half hours over the span of three days listening to oral arguments regarding the Affordable Care Act. The arguments will cover four different topics that have been debated in lower courts. A decision is expected to be handed down in the latter part of June.
