Paddling for Paraquad

Paddling for Paraquad

Dr. Barry Wiese, Executive Clinical Business Director at Logan University, has generously (and heroically) offered to paddle from Kansas City to St. Charles, Mo.--340 miles!--to benefit Paraquad. The Missouri American Water MR340 kayak/canoe race is the longest, nonstop race of its type in the world, and many of the competitors will not reach the finish time within the 88-hour time limit.

Dr. Wiese is currently in training and you can follow his progress on Facebook at "Paddling for Paraquad." The race was originally scheduled to begin on July 8, but because of high water on the Missouri River, will now begin on August 12.

As he makes his way across Missouri, Dr. Wiese's kayak will feature a special logo that highlights the collaboration between Paraquad and Logan University, which provides chiropractic services at Paraquad's Health and Wellness Center for people with all types of disabilities.

Thank you, Dr. Wiese, and good luck on the river!
